Jerry Bussell and I excited to facilitate part III of our Lean practitioner certification series on December 3rd live from FCMA! In this course, we’ll cover 6S Workplace Organization. 6S is one of the Lean fundamentals. It’s a disciplined approach to maintaining order in the workplace by leveraging visual management to detect, prevent, and eliminate waste. The purpose of 6S is for organizations to achieve stability by maintaining and continuously improving an organized, clean, safe, and high-performance workplace.
6S is often the first targeted Lean improvement event companies select, as it serves as a great example of the required behavior a Lean organization must adopt throughout its’ enterprise to become truly successful. In this course, we’ll provide an overview of this workplace organization method and a step-by-step approach to driving improvements in the participant’s (and their teams) physical and electronic workspaces, as well as standard work for spreading 6S throughout their organization.
LeanJax and FCMA will offer this certification program again in the first quarter of 2021, so please reach out to me for more information!
