Executive Director
James Bussell
Since 2018, James has served as Lean Jax’s executive director. He has over 12 years of experience providing Lean transformation coaching, training, and hands-on support for companies in a myriad of industries, including: manufacturing; metal fabrication; maintenance, repair and overhaul; new product development; retail; construction; law; government; law enforcement; financial services; tax resolution; printing; logistics; customer service; healthcare; higher education; sales; marketing, and not-for-profit.
As executive director, James’s duties include: running the organization’s operations; coaching and assisting our members with the development and execution of their of their Lean transformation strategies and Lean management systems; organizing and leading value stream mapping and rapid improvement events across sectors; building the curriculum and serving as the instructor for our Lean training workshops and Lean certification training series; coordinating member collaboration and knowledge sharing opportunities; and promoting Lean thinking and practice everywhere he goes!
James is a Florida State University graduate, member of the Florida Bar, a film buff, and a diehard fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Knicks, New York Mets, and New York Islanders.
