About Us
Founded in 2003, the Jacksonville Lean Consortium (Lean Jax) is a dynamic, member-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to helping Northeast Florida organizations effectively implement and sustain Lean Thinking as their overall improvement strategy and operating system.
Our members seek operational excellence by creating world-class, Lean/Continuous improvement cultures—work environments focused on delivering exceptional customer value—anchored by Lean champions at all levels—proactive problem-solvers who seek to drive improvement every day.

Our Members
With Lean Jax membership, organizations will receive the necessary hands-on support to accelerate their continuous improvement journeys, no matter their business sector. Our focus is to help our members effectively use Lean systems and methods to identify, solve, and prevent the reoccurrence of their most impactful problems. Every business in every sector can benefit from this proven approach.
Lean Jax membership provides a wide-array of value. This includes facilitation of value stream mapping and rapid improvement events, participation in Lean training courses, access to our extensive library of standard work materials, and opportunities to benchmark and collaborate with businesses throughout the local community.
Member Benefits
An annual Lean transformation assessment and recommendations for sustainable enterprise transformation.
Assistance to members in creating and deploying an annual overall Lean transformation charter.
Facilitation of one on-site (virtual by request) (1) value stream mapping event, followed by one (1) rapid improvement event (RIE) at each member’s facility.
Conduct Lean training workshops for up to eight (8) employees per course each year.
Exclusive access to all Lean Jax standard work and training materials on our member resources page at www.leanjax.org.
Monthly Lean leadership meetings and Lean coffee sessions.
Mentoring from our staff, board members, and local Lean leaders.
Lean journey knowledge sharing and improvement event collaboration with Lean Jax members.
For Manufacturing Organizations: 25% discounted rate for Lean certification training through First Coast Manufacturers Association (our next session starts March 4, 2022).
Service Organizations: 25% discounted rate for Lean certification training through Bussell Lean Associates and Jacksonville University (TBD March 2022).
The following training workshops (Zoom and on-site) are included in our annual membership fee (Please Note: Organizations can send up to 15 employees to module #1 and 8 employees for each of the training modules #2-7.)

2. Introduction to Lean Thinking (3 hours)
3. Eliminating The 8 Wastes (3 hours)
4. 6S Workplace Organization (4 hours)
5. Visual Management and Mistake Proofing Systems (4 hours)
6. Value Stream Mapping (part of improvement event)
7. A3 Problem Solving (part of improvement event)
