Leverage A3 Problem Solving

public.jpeg

Business leaders in traditional organizations often act reactively and don’t take action until a crises arises. Corporate “fire fighters” are lauded even though they often are the most culpable “arsonists.”

Leaders in successful lean organizations exhibit proactive behaviors and continuously think of ways to improve the status quo. A key aspect of this is creating an organization where leaders and their teams are expected to generate and test improvement ideas through A3 problem solving and the scientific method—to help prevent “fires” from forming in the first place.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t share my expression watching the Jaguars when yet another avoidable problem ends up on your plate? (Sorry Jags, I love you, but get it together!)

Promote transparent communication of potential problems in your organization. Reward those who surface problems and provide them the means to generate, prioritize, and experiment with solutions. Continuously drive improvement with lean thinking. #leanjax
