Value Stream Mapping 101 Virtual Workshop

Workshop Overview

  • Unlock the power of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) by attending Lean Jax’s engaging and interactive virtual workshop on October 24, 2024!

  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is a core Lean methodology where a cross-functional team creates a visual representation of the current state of an end-to-end value stream.

  • This process involves analyzing the flow of materials and information to identify waste and target areas for improvement.

  • The team then develops and implements an actionable plan to achieve an improved future state, with reduced waste and increased value.

Workshop Objectives

  • To provide participants with a foundational understanding of Value Stream Mapping (VSM), enabling them to visualize and optimize interconnected processes, eliminate waste, and drive systematic improvements in their organization.

All we are doing is looking at the time line, from the moment the customer gives us an order to the point when we collect the cash. And we are reducing that time line by removing the non-value-added wastes
— Taiichi Ohno, Architect of the Toyota Production System
