A3 Problem Solving Training

A3 problem-solving is the Toyota-pioneered practice of documenting the problem, the analysis, the corrective-actions, and the action plan down on a 11 by 17 (A3 sized) sheet of paper.

A3s adhere to the scientific method, providing a structured, visual approach to how an enterprise develops its overall strategy, solves critical problems, provides status updates, summarizes projects, and coaches people.

 

Our A3 Problem-Solving Training teaches project teams how to:

1. Create a visual roadmap that tells a compelling story.

2. Identify critical business problems and craft well-defined problem statements.

3. Grasp the current state of a key process through direct observation and humble inquiry.

4. Develop measurable target conditions to improve the current state.

5. Show cause/effect and generate impactful countermeasures by applying analytical problem-solving tools and brainstorming.

6. Collaboratively develop and implement an action plan that achieves impressive results.

7. Effectively audit the action plan and adjust as necessary.

8. Create the foundation for a learning culture that promotes knowledge sharing and coaching across their enterprise.
