Introduction to Lean Thinking

LeanJax will offer its’ Introduction to Lean Thinking course at The Barnabas Center Nassau on April 10, 2019 from 9:00-4:00 pm. This training is free to all LeanJax members and the content is tailored toward transactional services. Introduction to Lean Thinking is the first course of the five required for LeanJax’s Facilitation certification track, which also includes Introduction to Value Stream Mapping, A3 Problem Solving, and Introduction to Lean Facilitation I and II.

  2. What is Lean Thinking? Why Lean Thinking?

  3. Lean Thinking in Service/Transactional Industries

  4. Three Categories of Work and the 8 Wastes (Hands-on Exercise)

  5. The Lean Operating System

  6. The Lean Fundamentals (Strategy Deployment, Lean Charter, Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC, A3, Standard Work)

  7. Standard Pig Exercise

  8. Change Management & Lean Culture

  9. Call to Action/Homework Assignment

  10. Course Summary; Plus/Delta
